What is ESD Flooring ?
ESD Flooring (Electrostatic Discharge Flooring) is a specialized flooring system designed to control and safely dissipate static electricity. It provides a reliable path for static charges to flow to the ground, preventing electrostatic buildup that may damage sensitive electronic components or affect critical operations.
Unlike standard flooring, ESD flooring is engineered with conductive materials and specific electrical resistance properties to meet different application requirements, including conductive flooring and static dissipative flooring.
ESD flooring is widely used in environments where static control is essential, such as electronics manufacturing facilities, semiconductor cleanrooms, laboratories, data centers, medical facilities, and precision production areas.

Where is ESD Flooring mandatory? Can ordinary anti-static floors replace professional ESD flooring?
Professional ESD flooring is mandatory for environments with static-sensitive equipment or flammable materials, including semiconductor workshops, electronic assembly lines, cleanrooms, laboratories, data centers, lithium battery factories, and precision testing rooms. Ordinary anti-static floors only provide weak and unstable surface static resistance with uncontrolled resistance values. They easily lose anti-static function after wear and cannot pass official ESD certification. Therefore, ordinary anti-static floors cannot replace professional ESD flooring for formal factory inspection and industrial safety protection.
What are the advantages of ESD Flooring compared with standard flooring?
Compared with common epoxy and PVC floors, professional ESD flooring has four core advantages. First, permanent and stable ESD performance with integral conductive structure, avoiding failure caused by surface coating wear. How long does ESD Flooring take to be fully usable after installation? What are the standard acceptance tests?
Under standard room temperature (25℃, 40%-60% humidity), the floor allows light walking 24 hours after installation, normal traffic and light equipment placement after 72 hours, and full heavy-duty operation after 7-day complete curing. Standard acceptance tests include surface and volume resistance testing, human body walking voltage testing, grounding continuity inspection, and flatness & appearance inspection. We can provide official test reports to support factory audits and project acceptance.
How to maintain ESD Flooring to extend service life and stabilize ESD performance?
Daily maintenance is simple and standardized. Keep indoor humidity between 40%-60% to ensure stable static dissipation. Clean the floor with water or neutral detergent only; avoid strong acid, alkali solvents and hard abrasive tools that may damage the conductive structure. Regularly check resistance values and grounding copper strips quarterly to prevent grounding failure. With standard maintenance, the service life of ESD flooring can reach 8-15 years with consistent stable electrostatic performance.
What is the MOQ for ESD flooring?
The standard MOQ is 500 m² per color for stock colors and 1,000 m² per color for custom colors. Mixed-color orders and trial orders are available upon request.
