WPC Decking: Classic and Co-extrusion Options for Outdoor

Table Of Content

Wood Plastic Composite Decking has become a popular alternative to traditional wood thanks to its excellent durability, low maintenance, and environmentally friendly features.

1st Generation – Classic WPC Decking

Classic decking, often referred to as the first generation, features a traditional wood-plastic blend structure. It offers a natural wood-like appearance with embossed or grooved surfaces, such as sanded finish, wood grain embossing, and grooved/ribbed surface (tooth-shaped anti-slip design). These designs improve slip resistance and enhance the visual appeal.

2nd Generation – Co-extrusion WPC Decking

Second-generation decking, also known as co-extrusion decking, is made from a wood-plastic composite core and engineering polymer covering.
The covering is like a 360°shield to prevent the core from water, UV, fungus, panting, and scratching. By using the shield, our WPC decking can avoid problems like color fading, rot, cracks, and mold.
Moreover, co-extrusion decking has the advantages of scratch resistance, stain resistance, a more durable life, and more color and wood grain pattern choices.
The protective layer and the core layer are hot-mixed extruded, and the cladding is tight and non-separable.
